There is no such general belief. There are instances when certain inter-caste marriages were deliberately conducted for a child to be born with specific qualities. Such ‘hybrids’ were possible only if the parents were ‘pure’. So the purity of the genes was advised so that the lineage of thinkers, rulers, traders and workers could be maintained. Today we maintain such purity for dogs and other pets, earlier human beings were given more importance.
Because He is Omnipotent and Omnipresent, He CAN take avatar, and so He takes!
Strictly speaking, Vedanta questions even the life after ‘birth’! From the stand point of the Supreme Reality, this life and the world itself does not have Absolute Reality.
However, at the transactional level, the journey of the individual self (the jīva) continues after the death of the body. That way, yes, there is life after death.
Knowing one’s own Self as the Self in all, and abiding in this knowledge itself is liberation.
To rid oneself of the burden of what one is not, and to abide in what one really is. The state of Supreme Bliss and Absolute Awareness is called liberation.
The way we handle our mind. With love and discipline.
Dharma is the very essence of everything. Like sweetness is the dharma for sugar, without which it cannot be called sugar. Similarly wetness for water, and heat for fire. Religion is an expression of Dharma. A way of life that helps us to identify our ‘Dharma’, our essence, our own Self, and abide in it.
Work is worship, but if we do not know what is worship, how can work be worship? It is necessary to first discover what worship actually is. It is necessary to develop a relationship with God. Only then is it possible to perform action/duty as worship.
This question is not asked by the ‘good’. It is those who find being ‘good’ difficult and want a reason to compromise. A person who is really good never feels there is any suffering. It is like a mother of a new born stays up all night with the baby, but never feels any ‘suffering’, but it is others who are unable to stay up, say the mother is suffering.
Every religion in the world, and every spiritual master advises sense-control. This is done so as to help us conserve and channelize our energies. Control of senses does not mean not employing them. Control means to be able to ‘choose’ when to use and when to put them aside. The ability to choose where and how much to put them to use. It is like we driving the car, or the car driving us. The latter would ‘drive us crazy (quite literally)!
